The Juvenile Impact Program (JIP) is a community-based intervention program for delinquent “at risk” youth in need of immediate diversion from gangs and criminal behavior. The program strives to prevent and correct negative or inappropriate behavior in youth by instilling personal accountability, discipline, self-esteem, and respect for themselves and others. This is accomplished through a regimented academic and physical training program.
***JIP is currently non-operational.***For more information on all youth programs available through the Los Angeles Police Department, please call the LAPD's Youth Programs Unit at 213-486-6090.
