The Los Angeles Police Foundation is dedicated to preventing crime, saving lives and making our community a better and safer place to live and work by assisting the Los Angeles Police Department with resources not available from the city. We are the major source of private support for the LAPD.
 
The Foundation was formed in 1998 to fund urgently needed programs and equipment for the Los Angeles Police Department.  More than $3 million in grants has been awarded to date, and the needs are growing.
